South Carolina 2012

Jeff and I traveled to South Carolina in July 2012 to visit with the family down there.We went and saw the oldest tree which is about 400 years old with everyone. It was great! We spent 4.5 hours on Sullivan's island beach with mom and dad it was a BEAUTIFUL DAY!! Jeff and dad flew kites. Mom read her book and sat in the ocean. I did a little sitting in the ocean myself with some fear of what happened last time I was in this ocean (got strung with jelly fish) but I did alright. Dad and I walked a little on the beach and caught up on some things. 
We stayed in Virginia's home in her loft with her brand new bathroom and shower it was delightful!! We attended a river dogs game on Monday night after being all day in the sun at the beach it was a little warm due to sunburn and being the hottest week since like forever ago. But,overall it was a great experience :) We did some shopping downtown eating lunch at Bubba Gumps (Jeff first time) and then some shopping at the outlets. It was great! We spent some time in downtown Summerville looking at the shoppes there love them! We had ice-cream at the old pharmacy in town. Jeff and I got our Big on the Pig shirts we plan on wearing them to the next family event they are way awesome! We had a nice BBQ at Ginny's house and some beautiful fireworks that were provided by the neighbor and Griffins. We spent some time at the watermark which was a lot of fun but HOT!! Our favorite was the lazy river and wave pool! Loved the movie/game nights with everyone as well as checking out the local $3.25 theatre and watching BRAVE! 

Well that is our vacation in a nut shell....we always enjoy being in the south. Good times! 

TAMPA,Florida

Jeff and I arrived in Tampa,Florida on Sunday morning. Jeff is here in Tampa to help run a booth for the Coast Guard at the "2010 Innovation Coast Guard Expo". I on the other hand will be exploring and soaking up the sun :)

Monday- I went for a very long walk to a place called Channelside plaza. This is where I found Coldstone,a movie theater and a little cute nick nak shop. I then came back to the hotel and went and sat by the pool. Then when Jeff got off work we went downstairs and ate dinner at Champions. We saw an old friend of Jeff's named Charlie who gave Jeff a gift to the VIP lounge for his birthday. We then went for a walk to get some ice-cream at Coldstone. A very fun evening!

Tuesday-I went over to the Innovation with Jeff and had some breakfast. I then got my viewing pass and walked around in the Expo. Quite fun! I got a lot of free stuff...and Jeff put in his business card for some drawings for a free ipod/or ipad. Good Luck Jeff! ....Jeff won a book at one of the booths! Then we walked across the bridge and got a Turkey sub to share at Publix.

Wednesday-I walked about 5 miles today to the museum, getting lost on a bus, to Tampa University and to check out a bunch of little shops across the bay. Whew! Then I went to the pool! Jeff and I went out to a local Italian restaurant called Amore' they had some yummy Italian food...I got chicken Alfredo and Jeff got a lasagna.

Thursday-Our last day in Tampa and it's raining. Jeff is at the expo and I am chilling out in the hotel room...watching movies and playing on the internet....and lovin' it so much. We will be heading home this evening. HOME SWEET HOME! and burr it's cold here in Virginia like 30 degrees cooler.
